The Institute for Information and Communication Technologies is dedicated to research into advanced aspects of the networked world both from a technological perspective and in terms of the impacts on society. It undertakes such research in collaboration with key participating faculties across the university and with industrial partners.

The UTS: Institute for Information and Communication Technologies was created to contribute to research in ICT aligned with national priorities and building on the substantial existing research strengths within UTS. It is focussed around three themes:
