Overview
The e-Markets Research Group is part the Smart e-Business Systems Laboratory. The e-Markets research group is investigating the evolutionary mechanisms in eMarkets, focusing particularly on smart negotiation systems for electronic markets. The group encompasses researchers whose main research interests lie in the development of smart, intelligent tools for electronic business.

Research Projects
The e-Markets research program aims to meet three related, deep goals that were adopted chronologically:
  • To understand the market evolutionary mechanisms that will drive future generation trading environments.
  • To understand the how multi-attribute negotiation may be supported, and at least partially automated, in an information-rich trading environment.
  • To understand how business networks will evolve in response to the changing goals of players in future generation trading environments.
Research projects underway include:
  • Shaping e-Markets by Timely Information Discovery
  • Methodology for agent-oriented software development
  • A multi-agent system and a web-mining system manage knowledge-driven processes
  • Mechanisms for extracting market expertise from an electronic market environment
